We are a small, hands-on team best suited to projects that benefit from a considered, collaborative building process. Our work typically includes:
Architect-designed renovations and home extensions
Heritage upgrades and alterations
Alterations within existing building footprints
Energy-efficient, performance-focused upgrades
Selective carpentry packages (framing, lock-up, fix, cladding, decking)
Small-to-mid scale residential builds,
We deliberately limit project volume so we can stay closely involved in delivery, decision-making and quality control.
Who you’ll be building with
Taylor Bjarnoe is the founder of Tayls & Co. and a registered domestic builder with over 15 years’ experience in residential construction.
Beginning as an apprentice carpenter, Taylor progressed through site leadership and project management roles, developing a practical understanding of sequencing, feasibility and delivery timing. His experience spans architect-designed renovations, extensions and detailed residential builds, from compact inner-city alterations to high-performance homes.
Now based in Brunswick West, Taylor works across Melbourne’s inner north and surrounding suburbs, collaborating with architects and homeowners seeking quality craftsmanship, practical problem-solving and reliable cost and time planning.
Taylor also holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from UNSW, alongside formal construction qualifications, supporting a structured, analytical and communicative approach to building.
